Dear Trinitas Families,
Our school is moving forward with its re-opening plans for the 2020- 2021 academic year. Trinitas Academy is thrilled to once again have the opportunity to serve families who choose to provide their children with an education that holds to a Biblical worldview. We look forward to an exciting year and to seeing our new and returning students again on campus. Online Instruction will also be available for those who may still feel uneasy about sending their child(ren) to school for In-Person Learning. Please call the office to let us know if your child will be learning from home so we can have an Instructional Packet prepared for you. The packet will explain what platforms will be used for online learning and all the details on how to set them up successfully. After each quarter, students may opt out of online learning and join their classmates in school.
Parent Orientation
This year, our Parent Orientations will be held on separate days and times, to allow for physical distancing. We request that parents come wearing a face mask and without their children, due to limited space. Important new school procedures will be discussed, and you will also have the opportunity to ask questions and visit your child’s classroom to meet his/her new teacher!

Classroom Supplies and Other Forms
Please visit https://trinitasacademy.com/trinitas-forms/ to access this year’s classroom supply lists. Make a special note of the new technological requirements. A small number of laptops may be available for a small “rental” fee of $50 per quarter for those who are unable to acquire their own laptops at this time.
Other forms are also available to you on this page, including information on the Trinitas Tigers Ambassador Club and our school’s Health and Safety Measures. Working together, we intend to promote the best safety conditions possible on campus for both our students and staff. Note the new drop off and pick up times and follow them according to the youngest sibling in the family. Students must arrive to school wearing a mask and enter through the middle gate where they will have their temperature checked. If they are dropped off early, parents must walk up to the gate to sign them in using their ID’s and our new touch-free system. Physical Distancing will be followed in the classrooms, along with other measures, such as frequent hand washing.
Uniforms
Uniform shirts and PE shorts will again be available for purchase at Debbie’s Uniforms (now Dennis Uniform) and their navy-blue sweater is the only sweater that will be allowed on cold days. Remember that pants, skirts, or shorts/skorts must be khaki for non-PE days and can be purchased at the store of your choice! Your child’s teacher will provide you with the schedule indicating which day is his/her PE day. Students staying home for online learning must also be wearing school uniform when they login for daily attendance and video instruction.
Remember that Dennis Uniform is offering curbside pickup, virtual fittings, live chat, and a resource page on their website to help families purchase their children’s uniforms. They will not be taking anyone inside their physical stores. Follow this link to place your order. https://www.dennisuniform.com/schools/AATRI.
Online Learning Option
Should parents still feel uneasy about allowing their children on campus when classes begin on August 19th, we are making available an Online Instruction format which allows children to maintain their full status as Trinitas Academy students and yet continue to receive a Christ-centered and Biblical worldview education from home.
1.This commitment would only be on a quarter to quarter basis, and at the end of each quarter, parents can decide whether or not they want their children to return to in-person learning.
2.Parents will receive a Technology Instructional Packet during Orientation Week with complete instructions on how to set up their students’ laptops for the online learning platform(s).
3.Students on the Online Instruction format will also receive their set of books to keep at home. Everything in the supply list applies to them as well, including uniforms. Assignments can either be scanned and submitted online, or dropped off at school. Quizzes and tests may be taken from home, but must be turned in or submitted on the due date.
4.Students will have their own account and have daily access to the FACTS Learning Management System. They will also be provided with a license to Microsoft Office 365 applications.
5.Students will follow the same schedule as their classmates on campus and must login for video attendance through Microsoft Teams on a daily basis. Lessons for each class can also be accessed daily through video or by viewing the recording at a later time for your convenience. Students will also have free access to Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, One Drive, Teams, Outlook, etc. that will benefit them in completing certain assignments. A Technology Class multiple times a week will assist in learning more about these features.
6.In addition, our students will also be subscribed to other sites such as Scholastic, IXL, and Spelling City
All of these instructions will be part of the informational packet. We trust it will be a successful experience that will allow students staying at home to keep up with the class curriculum.
